Green Pea Dip
This gorgeous, vibrant, bright green dip is a
delicious low fat alternative to guacamole. Once you have tried
it you will find that traditional guacamole tastes heavy and
dull by comparison.
Ingredients:
1 cup frozen peas
1 medium cloves garlic, peeled
1 tablespoon olive oil (optional)
1 tablespoon fresh lime or lemon juice
1 tablespoon soy sauce
Dash of hot chilli oil or Tabasco sauce, to taste
3 tablespoons chopped cilantro (coriander leaves) or
parsley
3 tablespoons plain yogurt, sour cream or quark
Instructions:
Leave the peas to come to room temperature - there is no
need to cook them.
Place all the ingredients in a food processor and puree,
scraping the sides as necessary.
Place in a bowl, garnish with an extra sprig of cilantro, and
serve.
