10 week food and exercise log Our 10 week food log provides a means of tracking everything we eat, the exercise we do, and the results we achieve ... with a bit of motivation thrown in to help us along! Many experts suggest that, if we do nothing else, we write down what we eat every day. Keeping a food log has many benefits:
- it forces us to recognise and examine our daily eating habits
- it makes us aware of the extra "treats" and "snacks" which we consume without noticing
- it helps us to pinpoint which foods make us feel unwell, cause indigestion, or perhaps create cravings
- it helps us to identify which foods keep us feeling full for longer
- it makes clear whether we are eating enough vegetables, fruit, carbohydrates, protein and so on
- by looking back at "bad" days and "good" days we can see which menu plans to avoid and which to repeat
- by analysing our efforts we can begin to put together a healthy way of eating which we can carry forward into the future.
Overall, anything which makes us more aware of our eating habits and helps us to take more control is worth putting some effort into!
